to honor the amazing food prepared at Earl’s every year!

2012 Uncle Earl’s Overall Champion
The David Jones Camp
They prepared delicious Pork Butt, Beans & Cobbler in Dutch Ovens
plus treated the Judges in Style at a set table with candlelight under the stars!
The Camp Chef, David, says it was his 12th year to attend the Show
and even prepares his coffee on the fire each morning!

BEST ENTREE
Rimfire Kennel
The guys at Rimfire never let us down with their creative culinary skills!
They prepared an amazing African Oryx over their
“Hog Dog Grill” made especially for the Event!
Their Chicken also got an Honorable Mention,
but the fresh peppered Oryx brought in from Texas won the prize!

BEST SIDE DISH
Tejas Kennel
A light & savory Wild Hog Stew that would complement any Campfire Meal -
the hog was fresh caught in Texas and prepared in a Dutch oven over fire!
Mr Templeton is a relative newcomer to the show,
but showed the old-timers that he was here to stay!

BEST DESSERT
Cajun Camp
The outstanding chefs at the Cajun Camp went over and above the call of duty!
The food was awesome, they impressed the Judges with their
hunting heritage & 125 year old Dutch Oven!
They prepared a traditional Louisiana menu, complete with Alligator Chili,
Crawfish Etouffee over Ribeye & Blue Catfish Sauce Piquant…
but it was the Peach Cobbler that won them the prized Apron!
